Many of these materials have enabled consumer products to be lower in price or provide the benefit added durability. What many people do not think of is that these synthetic materials may be giving off harmful fumes and vapors well after the manufacturing process. In an enclosed environment such as a home or school we are potentially exposing our families and more importantly our children to unsafe chemical levels without even being aware that we are doing it.
